COMPANION
PLANTING
✿ THE ECOLOGY OF CONNECTION: COMPANION PLANTING & COMMUNITY
This hands on workshop explores the wisdom of plant relationships, and what they can teach us about connection, community, and mutual support.
Through the practice of companion planting, participants will reflect on the interdependent nature of ecosystems, and discover how we too can thrive through reciprocal relationships.
The Ecology of Connection invites participants into a space of grounded reflection and shared growth.
CORE THEMES
{01} Interdependence: This workshop explores how humans, too, thrive when we are nourished by connection, care, and reciprocity.
{02} plant-based ecology: By observing the patterns of mutual support in our local environment, we learn how to move in rhythm with the land we live on.
{03} community as ecosystem: This workshop invites reflection on the roles we play in community, and the ways we can both give and receive care. Just like in the garden, our diversity is our strength.
HOUSE PLANT: HOW TO
✿ IN THE COMPANY OF PLANTS; A HOUSEPLANT WORKSHOP
In this workshop, we explore the basic science of plant life: how they breathe, drink, grow, and adapt indoors. You’ll learn to recognise the subtle cues your plants give you, and finally understand the why behind wilting, yellowing, or slow growth.
This isn’t about guessing or hoping for the best. It’s about cultivating real knowledge, the kind that roots you in observation, connection, and care. You’ll leave with sharper skills, a deeper relationship with your leafy roommates, and fewer frantic Google searches.
Caring for plants isn’t magic, it’s a language. Let’s learn how to speak it!
SENSORY
EXPERIENCE
✿ A PLACE TO COME TO YOUR SENSES
A sensory awareness workshop for deeper connection with land and garden.
This workshop is a practical, guided exploration of how our senses; touch, smell, sight, sound, taste, and interoception (the inner state of the body), can be used as tools for reading and understanding the landscape.
Through focused, hands-on activities in a natural setting, you'll learn to notice patterns in light, shifts in scent, changes in soil texture, or the way wind moves through a space - all subtle cues that help us to understand the health, rhythm, and needs of a garden.
Tuning into your senses in this way supports presence, well-being, and a more intuitive, reciprocal relationship with the living world. you’ll will take home skills that can be brought back into your own garden, or any green space you tend to.
This workshop is for anyone seeking to feel more connected to land, to garden, and to the subtle language of the senses. As we attune to the textures, rhythms, and signals of the natural world, we begin to recognise ourselves as part of it, not separate observers, but threads woven into nature’s living tapestry.
PLANT RHYTHMS
✿ ECO-GARDENING
This workshop is an invitation to reimagine your garden as a living system, one that thrives through cycles, relationships, and reciprocity. We will explore biodynamic principles, seasonal rhythms, and how to cultivate a garden that supports not only your plants, but the wider ecosystem it belongs to.
Together, we’ll look at ways to nourish soil health, encourage biodiversity, and tend our gardens as co-creators rather than controllers. You’ll learn how to align your gardening practices with the natural cycles of the moon, sun, and seasons, creating a space that grows in harmony with the life around it.
This is a workshop for anyone seeking to learn a more cyclical, conscious way of growing their garden.
BUSH CRAFT
✿ NATURE CRAFT FORAGING
Slow down and step into a deeper rhythm with the land in this hands-on workshop. Nature Craft Foraging invites you to observe your local ecosystem with fresh eyes, learning how plant families, seasonal shifts, and the shape of the landscape guide what we find and where we find it.
We’ll explore the nuances of topography; How gullies cradle moss and moisture, while ridgelines offer sun-bleached bark and wind worn textures. Guided by ecological awareness and gentle curiosity, you’ll gather natural materials mindfully and respectfully.
The workshop culminates in creating a small foraged artwork: a seasonal time capsule made from the gifts of the land, representing this unique moment in the local bush landscape.
Perfect for nature lovers, creative souls, and anyone seeking a more intimate relationship with local landscapes.
